Jonas Vaisanen (18 rds, 74.50)Georgia Southern plays in its fourth event of the spring as the Eagles travel to the FAU Slomin Autism Invite in Florida. The teams play 18 holes each day starting Friday, and the field features 18 squads.
Georgia Southern is coming off a 10th-place outing in the Schenkel Invitational, its home tournament, last weekend.
Henry Mabbett shot 211 (-5) and tied for 21st, while
Steven Fisk carded a 212 (-4) and tied for 25th.
"We are looking forward to hitting the road this week for our next event in Lake Worth, Florida," said Georgia Southern coach Carter Collins. "The North Course at the Fountains Country Club is similiar to the Sun Belt Conference championship course so it will be good to compete for this championship while also preparing for conference. This is a quick turnaround from our home event, but the team is hungry and ready to show our continued improvement."
Fisk and Jake Storey have played in every tournament this season. Mabbett makes his fourth start of the spring, and Price will make his third straight start. Jonas Vaisanen, coming off an even-par 216 at the Schenkel, makes his third start of the spring.The Eagles will be paired with Toledo and UConn and tee off hole 1 at 9:15 a.m. Friday.
Following the weekend, the Eagles travel to the Coca-Cola Wofford Invitational April 11-12, before defending their team title at the Sun Belt Championship April 24-27 in Destin, Fla.
