Athletic Foundation Announces 2016 Coaches Caravan Tour

Tour includes 12 stops between Tuesday, Apr. 26 to Friday, May 13.

Eagle fans around the great state of Georgia and surrounding areas, get ready to meet with Georgia Southern's coaching staff! New head football coach Tyson Summers, alongside Director of Athletics Tom Kleinlein, other coaches and personnel from Eagle Athletics, will be touring the state from to get fans riled up for the upcoming season!

The Georgia Southern University Athletic Foundation invites Eagle Nation to come out in full force when the 2016 Coaches Caravan rolls into your city.

The caravan will kick off Tuesday, Apr. 26, in Savannah, GA at Carey Hilliard's Banquet Hall with Coach Tyson Summers and Men's Basketball Coach Mark Byington! The tour includes 12 stops between Tuesday, Apr. 26 to Friday, May 13.

Fans in Columbus, GA and Jacksonville, FL can look forward to another opportunity to meet some of Georgia Southern's most dynamic leaders. In addition, the Foundation has added a special stop to this year's tour, featuring Coach Summers' hometown: Tifton, GA!

The last stop of the tour will be at Savannah Rapids in Augusta, GA on Fri., May 13, 2016.

The Georgia Southern University Athletic Foundation's (GSUAF) primary goal is to provide the University's student-athletes with the opportunity to compete for a championship ring and earn a college education while developing them as future leaders in their respective communities.

The mission of the GSUAF is to provide private financial support for athletic scholarships, facilities and staff enhancement for the Athletic Department of Georgia Southern University.  All of the activities of the Athletic Foundation are conducted with the highest regard for academic and athletic excellence and within the guidelines established by the University System of Georgia Board of Regents, conference affiliations and the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA).
