Eagles next participate in the 2016 Coastal Carolina Invitational
STATESBORO, GA. – The 2016 Georgia Southern Softball Media Guide is now available online. The document is a product of the Georgia Southern Athletics Communications office and shows the history of Eagle Softball.

The Eagles continue the 2016 season this weekend at the 2016 Coastal Carolina Invitational. Georgia Southern will open the tourney against the Hawkeyes of Iowa in an 11 a.m. doubleheader on Friday, Feb. 26. The Eagles will then take on host Coastal Carolina on Saturday at 1:30 p.m. and will play Iowa for a third time at 4 p.m. Georgia Southern will close out the tournament with a 12 p.m. game against Coastal Carolina on Sunday, Feb. 28.
The 2016 home opener will be next weekend during Georgia Southern's own Eagle Classic when the Eagles host North Dakota on Friday, Mar. 4 at 4:30 p.m. They will play the Fighting Hawks again on Saturday, Mar. 5 at 2:30 p.m. before taking on Harvard at 4:45 p.m. Georgia Southern will close out their home tournament with a 2:30 p.m. game against Eastern Kentucky on Sunday, Mar. 6.
The four games of the Eagle Classic are part of 19 total home games for the Eagles this season. The next home game following the classic will not be until UT Arlington travels to Statesboro for a three-game Sun Belt Conference series beginning Friday, Mar. 25.
