12 Student-Athletes Receive Stoles Prior to Graduation Ceremony

Student-athletes from seven teams receive stoles Thursday
STATESBORO – Georgia Southern Athletics honored 12 graduating student-athletes with a special stole ceremony Thursday afternoon in the Ted Smith Family Football Center.
The Athletic Department handed out stoles that will be used to signify student-athletes at Friday's Georgia Southern University commencement ceremony at Allen E. Paulson Stadium. Five of the student-athletes also received rings signifying that they will be graduating with at least a 3.0 grade point average (GPA). Those five are Leah Joseph (volleyball), Rise Lanne (men's tennis), Melinda Lukas (women's soccer), Francisca Norregaard (women's tennis) and Jennifer Wittick (women's soccer).
