STATESBORO – Georgia Southern softball has announced the dates for a pair of winter camps to be held at the Georgia Southern University Softball Complex in January 2017. The two day-long camps will be held on Saturday, Jan. 21 and Saturday, Jan. 28.

The first session of camp to be held on Saturday, Jan. 21, will run from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. with check-in from 8:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. The cost of the first session will be $70 per person. The second session of the Eagles' winter camp series will be held on Saturday, Jan. 28, will run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. with check-in running from 8:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. The second session will cost $90 per camper. Both sessions can be purchased for $150.

Both winter camp sessions will focus on mechanics and skills through dozens of drills designed to help improve play at the plate as well as in the field. Participants will be divided up based on age and ability so that everyone in attendance will get the most out of the camp.

Registration Information:
Check-in will take place beginning at 8:30 a.m. both days. Registration will be held at the GS Softball Complex at 515 Fair Road, located directly across the street from Dunkin' Donuts.

Further Camp Info:
There will be a break for lunch during both sessions. Athletes can bring their lunch or go with their parents during the break. Lunch will not be provided by the camp. To participate in either camp session, athletes will need to mail in:

• Copy of a valid insurance card (front and back)
• Copy of a signed physical within the last 12 months (Campers will not be allowed to participate in camp without a physical)
• Release, covenant not to sue and assumption of risk form with signature
• Completed registration form (unsigned forms will be returned)
