STATESBORO – Georgia Southern men's soccer head coach John Murphy, the 2016 Sun Belt Conference Coach of the Year, announced Monday a rebranding of the men's soccer camps, now known as the John Murphy Eagle Soccer Academy.  Included in the newly branded soccer camps will be the high school boys' Eagle Soccer Academy Winter ID Camp held in Statesboro, January 7-8, 2017.

"We are excited in our first season to win our conference and really put a marker for how our program is going to go forward," Murphy said. "The launch of the John Murphy Eagle Soccer Academy falls in line with the overall philosophy of running a comprehensive soccer program in that we aim to have a local, regional and national impact on and off the field. These camp programs will be run with individual development in mind; we're going to try to keep them affordable and flexible in regards to our offerings. Our camps are going to be programs for boys off all ages and abilities and will be a great opportunity for people to come and see our beautiful campus while having a chance to work with our coaching staff and experience first-hand what it takes to play at the college level what it is like to be an Eagle."

Description: 
Join 2016 Sun Belt Conference Coach of the Year John Murphy and select college coaches in a unique and challenging training experience at the John Murphy Eagle Soccer Academy Winter ID Camp on January 7-8 on the beautiful campus of Georgia Southern University in Statesboro, Ga. The facilities and location provide a centralized location within the southeastern United States and a convenient airport option less than an hour from campus. The personal touch at the Winter ID Camp includes shuttle service to and from the Savannah airport and local hotel options.

The flexible and inexpensive format allows campers to attend one day or both based on their schedule and budget. Unlike other ID camps that solely focus on match play, the John Murphy Eagle Soccer Academy Winter ID Camp has two training sessions per day to address specific skill sets and decision making required to play in college and beyond. Written evaluations will not only provide the camper with detailed feedback to be used in their own personal development, but also as a reference during their college search.

Regardless of where a player is looking to go to college, the Winter ID Camp is an excellent opportunity to develop as a player and get further insights on what it takes to play at the college level. Coach Murphy's methods have been utilized both here in the U.S. and abroad at the highest levels of the game. He and his staff led the Eagles to the 2016 Sun Belt regular-season championship in his first season.

$125.00 per day ($150.00 day of sign in) / $200.00 for both sessions ($225.00 day of sign in)
Written player evaluation (only for two day participants)
Airport shuttle for campers flying into Savanah (only for two day participants)
Local hotel options provided (must make arraignments on your own)
Local hotel shuttle to and from training (only for two day participants)
