Georgia Southern travels to Atlanta to compete in the AutoTrader.com Collegiate Monday and Tuesday. It's the Eagles' fourth appearance in the tournament, which began in 2011. Georgia Southern won the tournament in 2012, and Scott Wolfes, Hayden Anderson and Will Evans all finished in the top-10.
The Eagles are coming off a tie for 11th in their last outing at the Wolfpack Intercollegiate Oct. 4. Steven Fisk and Jake Storey led the team and tied for 26th.
Fisk, Price, Storey and Barron have been in the lineup for each tournament this season, while Luukas Alakulppi will see his first collegiate action.
"We squeezed a couple of weeks of work into a few days after Hurricane Matthew, and we made good progress," said coach Carter Collins. "I'm excited to see what this team can accomplish this week against a strong field. The course here is great. It demands your attention for every shot, especially around the greens."
Georgia Southern is paired with Chattanooga, Georgia State and South Florida and will tee off holes 1-4 at 8:30 a.m. in a shotgun start.
Following the AutoTrader, Georgia Southern caps the fall season Oct. 30, at the Warrior Princeville Invitational in Kauai, Hawaii. Only five Eagles will make the trip so this week's tournament and any ensuing qualifying rounds will determine who will go to Hawaii.
