Eagles, Falcons Ready for GoDaddy Bowl

Reps from both teams tour Mobile facilities
MOBILE, Ala. - Georgia Southern head coach Willie Fritz, along with members of the Eagles' support staff got a chance to get familiar with the site of the GoDaddy Bowl on Wednesday. They also got a close-up look at their opponent for the big game on Dec. 23, the Bowling Green Falcons.
Fritz, along with seniors Antwione Williams and Roscoe Byrd, toured the facilities in Mobile and met with the local media for the bowl's official Media Day. They were joined by Bowling Green interim coach Brian Ward and offensive guard Alex Huettel, who will be making his 55th consectuve start i nthe GoDaddy Bowl.
"We are honored to play the first bowl game in Georgia Southern history at the GoDaddy Bowl and we're looking forward to the challenge of playing a very good Bowling Green team," said Campbell. "I've heard nothing but good things about this bowl and today's hospitality backs up what others have said. We're looking forward to getting back down here in less than two weeks."
The Eagle entourage got a first-hand look at Ladd-Peebles Stadium, site of the 2015 GoDaddy Bowl, the team hotel as well as their practice facility for their five-day stay in Mobile. Georgia Southern's travel party will arrive in Mobile on Dec. 19 and enjoy a variety of activities, including a tour of the USS Alabama and the Mobile Mardi Gras Parade the night before the game.
Georgia Southern finished the regular season with an 8-4 mark, 6-2 in Sun Belt Conference play. Bowling Green (10-3, 7-1 MAC) won the MAC Championship and has one of the top passing offenses in the country.
