Last Chance to RSVP for GATA Club All-Sports Reunion Sept. 6

STATESBORO, Ga. – Georgia Southern Athletics and the Athletic Foundation are hosting an all-sports reunion Saturday, Sept. 6, centered around the Eagles' 2014 home-opening football contest, a 6 p.m. contest against local rival Savannah State.
Eagle student-athlete alumni, coaches, managers, equipment managers and athletic trainers of any sport are eligible to receive a free ticket to the football game and purchase additional tickets for their family at a discounted rate of $17 per person. To get access to the free football tickets, Eagle sports alumni must RSVP by emailing gataclub@georgiasouthern.edu or calling 912-478-5520.
There will be an all-sports alumni tailgate with free food and beverages before the football game from 2-5 p.m. in the parking lot of Paulson Stadium as well as a halftime ceremony recognizing alumni in attendance. Director of Athletics Tom Kleinlein and Associate Director of Athletics for Special Projects and Eagle alum Tracy Ham will speak at the tailgate.
A number of events are going on during the day as this will be Georgia Southern's first home game as a member of the FBS and Sun Belt Conference and the first game in the newly-renovated and expanded Paulson Stadium.
Fans and alumni in town for the weekend can catch the men's soccer team at home against Mercer Thursday Sept. 4, at 7 p.m., and the women's soccer team hosts Mercer Friday Sept. 5, at 6 p.m. Both contests are at Eagle Field, across from Paulson Stadium.
