Reagan Barth Earns AVCA All-Region Honorable Mention

Sophomore becomes first Eagle to earn AVCA Postseason honors since 2003
STATESBORO— Volleyball outside hitter Reagan Barth has earned an honorable mention on the AVCA Southeast All-Region team, the committee announced Tuesday.
The sophomore First Team All-Sun Belt member followed up her outstanding freshman season with another stellar effort, leading the Eagles with a career-high 356 kills and finishing with a .235 hitting percentage.
Barth finished second on the Eagles in digs (290) and digs per set (2.96). Barth was tied for the team lead with 0.45 aces per set, leading the team in kills per set (3.63) and points per set (4.45).
She became the first Eagle to record back-to-back seasons with 350+ kills since Jamie DeRatt in 2013 and 2014 and the first Eagle with at least 350 kills and 250 digs since DeRatt in 2014.
The Lenexa, Kan. native had double-digit kills 21 times and a pair of 20-kill games, achieving 13 double-doubles and 14 games with 10 or more digs. On Nov. 8, she recorded one of the best errorless performances in school history, hitting .630 (17-0-27) against Georgia State.
In addition, Barth was named Sun Belt Offensive Player of the Week in Week 6 after racking up 38 kills and hitting a scorching .427 (38-6-75) in the two matches at Marshall - a whopping 6.33 kills per set. She was also named AVCA/GameChanger Division I Player of the Week, the first Sun Belt Player to do so since 2017 and first in Georgia Southern history.
