Key Moments
The Eagles (12-13, 5-7) trimmed a nine-point second-half lead down to 56-54 and had five possessions to tie or take the lead but could not get over the hump. After Dericko Williams scored on a putback for a 58-54 ODU lead with 2:43 to go, and the Eagles forced two turnovers on the defensive end but came up empty on offense. Savrasov's 3-pointer missed the mark with under a minute to play, and the Monarchs (14-10, 6-6) went 6 for 6 from the charity stripe to seal the win.

Tyreek Scott-Grayson scored seven points in a 14-4 Old Dominion run early in the second half, and the Monarchs opened a 46-37 lead on a Faison Fields layup. An 8-2 run, sparked by consecutive triples by Savrasov and Derrick Harris Jr., helped trim the deficit to 52-49 with 7:42 remaining.
