STATESBORO, Ga. – Returning to the courts after a 7-0 sweep against Savannah State, the Eagles women's tennis team will travel to Tallahassee, Florida to compete against the No. 20 ranked Florida State Seminoles. The Noles currently post a 5-2 in record overall and will host Air Force and the Eagles Saturday at the Speicher Tennis Center.
The Blue and White have started hot for the second consecutive season in a row, posting a 3-0 record heading to the Sunshine State. Head coach
Sean McCaffrey is closing in on 400 career victories, sitting at 393. He will look to continue his streak this weekend in Florida.
Carla Touly sits just inside the top-100 ITA rankings for the Noles, posting a 4-2 record overall on the season. She is the only Seminole ranked in the ITA singles rankings sitting at No. 99. Andrea Garcia and Petra Hule have found themselves ranked No. 50 in the ITA rankings for doubles play. The two have posted a 13-4 record this season and 2-2 in the spring.
The Eagles and Seminoles have one common connection this season. Sophomore Gabrielle Goldin is the brother of current transfer and men's tennis player Grant Goldin for the Eagles. Goldin joined the Eagles last fall from Belmont-Abbey where he was team captain.
