A four-year letterwinner for the Lady Eagles basketball team (1974-78)... Joined the women's basketball program in only its second year of existence and immediately became the top player... Helped the squad to a 48-46 record over four seasons, including wins over Georgia, Auburn, Florida, Alabama and Florida State... Led the team in scoring that year... Topped the team in rebounding as a sophomore (10.0) per game)... Established school records for nearly ever category including points in a season (447 in 1974-75) and career (1,533), rebounds in a game (25 vs. Berry in 1975) and season (386 in 1976-77)... Currently ranks fifth on the all-time scoring chart... Still holds the school mark for rebounding average in a season (17.5, 386 over 22 games in 1976-77)... One of her most outstanding performances came as a freshman when she scored 30 points and grabbed 25 rebounds against No.2-seeded Berry in the GAIAW Tournament... Earned all-state honors as a senior at Waycross High School, helping it win the AAA State Championship.
