Four-year letterman and starter for football program from 1983 to 1986 ... Was also a member of Georgia Southern's initial club team in 1982 ... At time of induction, is school record-holder in four major receiving categories -- receptions (93), touchdown receptions (19), reception yardage (1,854) and yards per reception (19.9) ... Ranks in top five for single-season receptions (30), single-season reception yards (654), touchdowns (five) and yards-per-catch (21.8) ... Became the first Eagle receiver to record two 100+-yard receiving games in a season (117 vs. East Carolina and 113 vs. Tennessee-Chattanooga ) and the first to turn in three 100+-yard career games ... Led 1983 squad with 23 catches for 444 yards, an average of 19.3 yards per reception ... Caught 30 passes for 654 yards and five touchdowns in 1984 before recording 20 receptions for 368 and five scores in 1985 ... Scored on a 75-yard touchdown reception vs. Northern Iowa during the Eagles' 40-33 win in the ‘85 NCAA Division I-AA Semifinals ... Was on receiving end of a 24-yard scoring pass vs. Furman in the 1985 I-AA Championship Game ... Averaged 19.4 yards a reception as a senior in 1986 ... Caught 20 passes for 388 yards and five touchdowns during the regular season ... Played key role as member of two national championship squads (1985, 1986).
