The pioneer of women's basketball at Georgia Southern... Was the Lady Eagles' first coach in history... Coached the Lady Eagles from 1973 to 1979... Compiled a 62-67 record while heading the Georgia Southern program... Attended Georgia Southern from 1969 to 1973 and graduated with a degree in Education... Earned Master’s degree in Education in 1975... Born February 22, 1951 in Fort Valley, Georgia... Acted as Georgia Southern representative instrumental in founding of the Georgia Association of Intercollegiate Athletics for Women (GAIAW) after emergence of Title IX of the Education Amendments... Left Statesboro to become, at the time, one of only 300 female special agents with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI)... Top season with the Lady Eagles was a 15-9 record during the 1975-76 season... Charter member of the Gamma Beta chapter of Delta Psi Kappa...
