1983-1986NCAA Coaches and Baseball America First-Team All-America selection in 1986 … Georgia Dugout Club Player of the Year in 1986 … Named Trans America Athletic Conference Player of the Year in 1986 … Also earned All-TAAC Eastern Division and All-Tournament honors in 1986 as a first baseman … The TAAC Tournament MVP in 1985 … National Division I leader with a school-record 94 RBI in 1986 while hitting a team-high .446 (second-highest season average in program history) … Scored a club-best 78 runs and hit 26 home runs that season … One of 15 Eagles all-time to record 60 runs scored/60 RBI in a season … Still ranks in the Top 10 in several Georgia Southern season and career offensive categories … Drafted in the fifth round by San Diego in 1986 and made it to the AAA level … Played three years with Milwaukee before a brief stint with Cleveland.
