Established school career records for wins (31), complete games (28) and strikeouts (296), innings pitched (356)... Also topped the season lists for innings pitched (133 in 1980), victories (12 in 1981) complete games (12 in 1981)... Still holds record for career complete games... Named Second Team All-South Independent by the American Baseball Coaches Association following the 1979 season... Was 9-1 with one save as a sophomore... Compiled a 10-4 record and a 2.91 ERA junior season... Started 17 games, completing 10... Gave up 129 hits and struck out 97 in 133 innings... Pitched the Eagles to wins over North Carolina, South Carolina, Clemson and Florida State... Lost to the Gamecocks in the opening round of the 1980 NCAA Atlantic Regional at Clemson... Posted a 12-4 mark in 16 starts as a senior... Georgia and South Carolina as a senior... Drafted by both San Francisco Giants (June 1981) and the Minnesota Twins (1980).
