Track & Field is set to Participate in the SoCon Indoor Track & Field Championships

STATESBORO, Ga. - The Georgia Southern track & field team is set to run in the SoCon Track & Field Championships Saturday.

The championships will run through Sunday and will take place at the Clemson University Track & Field Complex in Clemson, S.C.

Saturday’s action starts at 9:00 a.m. inside the 1,800 seat facility. The championships are set to wrap up at 4:40 p.m. with the awards ceremony.

Western Carolina won both the men’s and women’s championships last season. The Eagles highest finish in the Indoor Championships is third place. Georgia Southern has finished third six straight years.

Melanie Trumbo (Lilburn, Ga.) won the pentathlon last season and returns to defend her title.
