Renee Paprocki enters her second season on the Georgia Southern track and field and cross country coaching staff and works primarily with the throws and jumps.

In 2012, she led multiple freshmen to score at the Southern Conference Championship meets and added names to the top-5 marks in school history. The team academic progress rate went up, and many student-athletes made the President’s and Dean’s List.

Before arriving at Georgia Southern, Paprocki was a graduate assistant at Lake Erie College from 2009-11. She administered training for jumping events, javelin, multi-events and strength and conditioning. Paprocki developed the Lake Erie College Storm Track and Field Camp in 2010 and served as camp director in from 2010-11. She also conducted study hall, alternative pool workouts and assisted with cross country.

During her two years with the Storm, Paprocki worked with Jamil Dudley, who competed at the 2012 Olympic Trials and was the 2011 USA Junior National Champion in the high jump. He was an All-American, GLIAC Conference Champion and Freshman Field Athlete of the Meet.

Paprocki also coached an All-American in the men’s heptathlon as well as national qualifiers in the women’s long jump, men’s heptathlon, high jump and pole vault and multiple all-conference and all-region athletes. During her tenure, the program achieved 25 NCAA Division II National Qualifying marks, and the women’s cross country and track and field teams achieved All-Academic status both seasons.

Prior to her time in Painesville, Paprocki served as the assistant track and field coach at Sandra Day O’Connor High School in Glendale, Ariz. During the 2007-09 seasons, she coached high jump and both hurdles. Paprocki coached elite high jumper Bryan McBride, guiding him to an Arizona State Championship and a USATF Great Southwest Region Championship in 2009. McBride is currently one of the top high jumpers in the Pac-12 Conference and competed at the 2012 Olympic Trials.

Paprocki also served as an assistant coach with the Arizona Puma Track and Field Club in 2009, where she coached an Arizona State and USATF State Champion in the high jump.

As a collegiate student-athlete at Nazareth College, Paprocki was a member of the cross country, swimming and diving and track and field teams. She studied abroad in Valencia, Spain, during her entire sophomore year, while traveling to over 11 different countries.

At North Canyon High School, Paprocki earned letters in track and field, cross country and swimming and diving and was voted Senior Female Student-Athlete of the Year. She competed in track and field at the 2004 Down Under Games in Australia, was a USATF heptathlete and USATF Junior National Champion in the pentathlon in 1999.

Paprocki received her bachelor’s degree in Spanish from Arizona State in May of 2008 and a master’s degree in Education from Lake Erie College in June of 2011. She is a certified USATF Level I and II coach in jumps and a certified medical interpreter/bilingual assistant in Spanish.
