Swimming & Diving Moves into Third Place at the CCSA Championships

STATESBORO, Ga. – The Eagles moved into third place after a solid day at the CCSA Championships. Swimming & Diving (6-8) moved ahead of Gardner-Webb with a score of 320.

 

Georgia Southern finished third in the 200 yard medley relay with a time of 1:45.00. The Eagles finished better than the previous CCSA Championship time.

 

Lauren Parr (Canton, Ohio) finished second in the 400 yard IM with a time of 4:25.75.

 

The Eagles finished one, two, three and four in the 100 yard butterfly consolidation. Kristen Haudenschild (Woodbridge, Va.) finished first with a time of 56.94.

 

Georgia Southern finished in fourth and fifth place in the 100 yard backstroke. Courtney Martz (Woodbine, Ga.) finished fourth with a time of 57.22.

 

The Eagles' 800 yard freestyle relay team of Caroline Bevillard (Bishop. Ga.), Parr, Jordyn Pasley (Knoxville, Tenn.) and Ali Campbell (Fort McMurray, Alberta) finished third with a time of 7:36.51.

 

The CCSA Championships continue tomorrow in Athens, Ga.
