FRESHMAN (2012-13): Posted a team-leading 14-3 singles dual mark and went 9-1 in league play…Split time between the No. 5, 4, 2, and 1 positions, competing the majority of his matches at the No. 2...Built up a SoCon best 7-2 (6-0 SoCon) record at the No. 2…Moved up to the No. 1 position for the final two matches of the regular season and defeated Samford’s Zac Dunkle and Chattanooga’s Roberto Vieira, winning both…Only Eagle to pick up a singles and doubles win against No. 60 Georgia State on Feb. 9, defeating regionally ranked Sofiane Chevallier in singles and Thomas Cook and Andrew Zedda with teammate Marco Osorio in doubles…Rode a winning-streak of seven matches between March 2 and March 26 to go undefeated in the month of March…Went a team-best 9-6 in doubles play, mainly teaming up with Osorio.
PREP: Went to high school at Lycée St. Bruno-St. Louis.
PERSONAL: Born on December, 23 1993 in Lyon, France…Son of Sonia and Abdelghani Djouad…Has one older brother, Fayçal…Admires his mother, Rodger Federer, Zinedine Zidane and boxer Mohamed Ali the most…Federer and Zidane are also his favorite athletes…Biggest influence on his life is his mother because “she taught how to be respectful to people and also how to make the most out of life by enjoying every day and sharing it a lot with people.”…Other hobbies include soccer, theater and driving…Talent would most like to have is flying…Favorite meal is French vegetables, French bread and a steak…Would love to have attended the speech of Martin Luther King…Majoring in Management with a minor in Entrepreneurship.
