FRESHMAN (2011-12): Excelled in his freshman campaign by leading the Eagles in singles victories and tying for the lead in doubles victories…Started singles in 21 of the team’s 23 matches…Saw action mostly at the No. 4 position but played at each position and recorded a win at each except for No. 1…Posted a 4-3 record in three-set matches including winning his final three…Won his first collegiate singles contest over Florida Gulf Coast’s Michael Beiler, 6-3, 7-6…Also recorded non-conference wins over Liberty and #70 Stetson…Downed SoCon opponents Chattanooga, Furman, Wofford, and The Citadel…Notched a win over Wofford’s Stuart Robertson in the first round of the SoCon Championship, helping send the Eagles into the SoCon quarterfinals for the first time since 2009 and marking their first victory in the tournament since 2008…Was 3-0 at the No. 2 singles position before falling in his season finale to Samford in the SoCon quarterfinals…Posted an impressive 13-9 doubles record, 6-4 in SoCon action, while starting in each match, primarily at the No. 1 position…Teamed with Alain Garrido to defeat Davidson’s #57 nationally-ranked doubles tandem of Joe Schafer and Calum Gee…Clinched the doubles point against Davidson, Liberty, Furman and The Citadel…Also recorded non-conference victories over Mercer, Florida Atlantic, Kennesaw State and #70 Stetson as well as conference wins over Chattanooga, Samford and Wofford…Downed both Wofford and Samford in the SoCon Championship…Primarily partnered with Garrido but also saw action with Kyle Hoffman.
