Men?s Soccer Falls to #22 Tulsa

Tulsa, Okla. – The Men’s Soccer team (0-1) fell to Tulsa (1-0) 2-0 in their season opener today.

 

Georgia Southern had six shots, two of which came on goal.

 

Preseason All-SoCon, Jon Cox (Alpharetta, Ga.) had one of the shots on goal.

 

Daniel Smith (Marietta, Ga.) picked up the other shot on goal.

 

Joey Ralph (Evans, Ga.) played the whole game in goal for the Eagles and picked up six saves.

 

Tulsa scored the first goal of the game in the 38th minute, when Blaine Gonsalves nailed a 30 yard shot from the right side.

 

The Golden Hurricane put the game away in the 88th minute. Zach Nulisch scored on a crossing pass from Corey Albertson.

 

The Men’s Soccer team returns to action next Friday as they take on Clemson in Clemson, S.C.
