Clendening Named to All-Conference Team

SPARTANBURG, S.C. – Georgia Southern freshman forward Luigi Clendening was named to the 2007 All-Southern Conference second team by the league’s coaches, it was announced by the conference, Friday.

The Augusta, Ga.–native was honored among the league’s best after a standout season for the Eagles, leading the team with 12 points and five goals, while dishing out two assists.

Clendening was among the league’s best on offense, ranking ninth in goals, 10th in goals per game (0.31), and fifth in game-winning goals (2).

The Eagles will enter post-season play, Saturday (Nov. 10), as the seventh-seed versus No. 2 seed College of Charleston in the first round of the Southern Conference tournament.  The game will be played at Patriots Point Field in Mt. Pleasant, S.C. at 2 p.m.
