Eagle Golf Signs Sean Brannan to 2008-2009 Team

STATESBORO, Ga. – Head coach Larry Mays and the Georgia Southern golf team announced today the signing of Hollidaysburg, Pa.-native Sean Brannan to the 2008-2009 golf team.

This past summer, Brannan was a semifinalist in the 2007 United States Junior Championship hosted by the United States Golf Association near St. Louis, Mo.  He is ranked No. 13 by the Golfweek/Titleist Performance Index 2008 class (Nov. 12).

Brannan helped lead Hollidaysburg Area Senior High to it’s first-ever team championship in any sport this fall, while finishing tied for third himself.  As a junior he won the individual Pennsylvania state title.

"Sean is an exceptional student-athlete,” said head coach Larry Mays.  “He has proven his himself both in the classroom and on the golf course.  He has won many local, state, and high school tournaments and has a great record in national events.  Sean is a perfectionist at everything he does, which leads to a high level of success.”

“We are very happy that Sean has decided to join our program and expect him to come right in and add to our continued success."
