Lavelle Westbrooks - 2013

JUNIOR (2012): Moved back to cornerback before the start of the season... Tallied 43 tackles, two interceptions and seven pass break ups over 13 games and 12 starts... Opened the year with two tackles and an interception return of 24 yards against Jacksonville (9/1)... Tallied six tackles at The Citadel (9/8)... Posted two tackles and a 72-yard interception return against Samford (9/29)... Made a season-best 10 stops at Chattanooga (10/27)... Finished the season with five tackles in each of the playoff games.

SOPHOMORE (2011): Played in 13 games with 12 starts... Missed just the Samford (9/3) game... Finished fifth on the team with 60 tackles... Also posted one tackle for loss, an interception, three pass breakups, and a fumble recovery... Recorded a season-high eight tackles at Alabama (11/19)... Posted second highest total of the season with seven stops at North Dakota State (12/17)... Recorded six stops against Chattanooga (10/8) and Presbyterian (10/22)... Recovered a fumble and returned it 27 yards in the FCS Playoff opener against Old Dominion (12/3)... Made three stops in his season debut against Tusculum (9/10)... Recorded four tackles and a stop behind the line of scrimmage at Appalachian State (10/29).

FRESHMAN (2010): Recorded solo tackle in Savannah State game in first collegiate action... tallied career-best seven tackles at Furman (5U, 2A)... assisted tackle at Navy... had one interception against The Citadel to go along with four solo tackles...had two tackles for loss against the Bulldogs in shutout win ... tied for team lead in tackles with six with Derek Heyden against Tribe in NCAA playoff game... had second interception of the year in playoff victory over S.C. State... picked up seven starts at corner and played in 13 games.

PREP: Earned first-team All-Region honors as a junior and second-team all-region honors as a senior... team captain as a senior... led Raiders in interceptions in 2008... voted best defensive back for Riverdale for 2008 season... placed second in triple jump and fifth in long jump at Regional 4-AAAAA track meet... coached by Nick Davis.
