REDSHIRT FRESHMAN (2012): Speedy back who rushed for 14 yards on two carries in Blue-White spring game… Helped prepare Eagle defense as a member of the scout team during fall 2012… Played in two games, making appearances vs. Jacksonville and Howard… Picked up four yards on one carry vs. Dolphins in season opener.

FRESHMAN (2011): Redshirted.

PREP: Played for head coach Shannon Jarvis at Mill Creek High School in Hoschton, Ga... Rushed for over 1,000 yards  and averaged six yards per carry as a senior... Helped the Hawks to a 6-4 record... Lettered twice and served as team captain as a senior... Also was a member of the Track and Field squad and was First Team All-Gwinnett in the 100 meters and ranked 4th in the state.

PERSONAL: Born DeVonte Aristotle Lewis in Oceanside, Calif. on April 13, 1993... Able to play songs on the piano by ear... Son of John and Winovia Lewis... Has one sister Karnia Lewis.
