Johnathan Bryant - 2012

JUNIOR (2012): Finished third on the team with 506 rushing yards and two touchdowns... Played in 14 games and started 12 times at t-back... Averaged 9.2 yards per rush, 28.1 yards per catch and 59.1 all-purpose yards per game... Rushed for 21 yards on two carries and returned a kick for 19 yards in the season opener against Jacksonville (9/1)... Carried the ball twice for 82 yards and a touchdown against Elon (9/22)... Totaled 130 all-purpose yards (75 rushing and 55 receiving) at Furman (10/20)... Returned two kickoffs for 56 yards at Chattanooga (10/27)... Posted a season-best 136 all-purpose yards (69 rushing and 67 receiving) against Appalachian State (11/3)... Carried the ball twice for 67 yards against Howard (11/10)... Rushed six times for 71 yards and returned two kickoffs for 35 yards in the FCS quarterfinal game at Old Dominion (12/8).

REDSHIRT SOPHOMORE (2011): Played in all 14 games with eight starts, including six in a row in the middle of the year... Rushed 26 times for 217 yards and two touchdowns and caught 13 passes for 355 yards... Posted a season-high 95 yards on just 10 carries against Furman (10-15)... Made six rushes for 65 yards including a season-long of 34 yards against Maine (10-10).

SOPHOMORE (2010): Started at slotback, but broke leg in season opener vs. Savannah State and missed the rest of the 2010 season... Yielded four carries (15 yards) and a reception (20 yards)... Returned six punts against Tigers (6-47, long 14).

FRESHMAN (2009): Started three games and played in 10... Registered 10 catches for 129 yards... Had highest average per catch on team... Caught last-second 16-yard pass from Kyle Collins vs. Furman for first career touchdown... Tied career-best with three receptions in that game and had season-best total of 52 yards including long of 31... Had three catches vs. Western Carolina... converted Lee Chapple pass, gaining 15 yards on 3rd-and-7 during Eagles’ opening drive vs. Catamounts... Finished game with 33 yards... Made first career start at Appalachian State... Two receptions for 27 yards vs. The Citadel... Totaled three total tackles for the year on special teams, including two unassisted at Appalachian State... Joined the program in January after gray-shirting during fall 2008... Caught three passes for 13 yards in the Blue-White game.

HIGH SCHOOL: Earned All-Region honors three years in football... Placed at state track meet all four years... Lettered in basketball, track and football... Played football for coach Tom Fallow.

PERSONAL: Born October 6, 1989... His family has been a major influence, “The excitement I give them by playing these sports”... Most admires coach Tom Fallow... Enjoys basketball and video games... Favorite professional team is Atlanta Falcons... Son of Charles Bryant and Maxine Smiley.
