PREP: Played for head coach Shannon Jarvis at Mill Creek High School in Hoschton, Ga... Rushed for over 1,000 yards  and averaged six yards per carry as a senior... Helped the Hawks to a 6-4 record... Lettered twice and served as team captain as a senior... Also was a member of the Track and Field squad and was First Team All-Gwinnett in the 100 meters and ranked 4th in the state.

PERSONAL: Born DeVonte Aristotle Lewis in Oceanside, Calif. on April 13, 1993... Son of John and Winovia Lewis... Has one sister Karnia Lewis.
