Brent Pugh - 2013

SOPHOMORE (2012): Hit .220/.314/.231 with one double and 10 RBIs in 41 games... Started 26 games mostly at third base... Set season-highs with four hits, four RBIs, three runs scored and four total bases against Elon (5/23) in the SoCon Tournament... Went three-for-9 (.333) with an RBI in the Appalachian State series... Hit .278 with five RBIs in the SoCon Tournament... Tallied three hits and scored two runs at The Citadel (4/29).

REDSHIRT-FRESHMAN (2011): Hit .228/.321/.294 in 54 games... Made 42 starts mainly at third base with three starts coming at second base... Appeared in the bottom-third of the lineup with 22 starts in the nine hole... Tallied four hits in back-to-back games to close out the N.C. Central series... Went three-for-three with three doubles in the series finale against Furman (3/13)... Went two-for-four with a run and a RBI in the second game of The Citadel (4/3)... Posted a solid outing at Kennesaw State (3/27) with two hits, a run scored, RBI and a double... Drove in two runs without a hit against Charleston Southern (5/4) with a sac fly and a squeeze bunt... Drove in two runs with a double and a single at Appalachian State (5/21)... Started both the Southern Conference Tournament Championship game against Samford (5/29) and the two regional contests... Scored the Eagles’ lone run in the first game of the regional on a muffed double play at first in the 2-1 loss to South Carolina (6/3).

FRESHMAN (2010): Redshirted.

HIGH SCHOOL: Earned letters in football and baseball at Wesleyan School... Was named First Team All-Region and Pre-Season All-State... Helped lead his baseball team to State Championships in 2008 and 2009.

PERSONAL: Born July 16, 1991 in Atlanta, Ga.... Most memorable sports moment was launching two home runs in the state championship game... Would like to become a coach... Lists his dad as having been a major influence on his athletic career because he taught him the game... Admires Chipper Jones and lists the Atlanta Braves as his favorite professional team... Enjoys golf and fishing... Son of Craig and Laura Pugh.
