Layup Line
■ Georgia Southern opens a three-game homestand by hosting Davidson Saturday at 5 p.m. in Hanner Fieldhouse.
■ It's the front end of a doubleheader with the GSU men's team. Fans who purchase a ticket to the women's game gain entry to the men's contest.
■ It's also Alumni Day, and an estimated 25 women's basketball alumnae, including Georgia Southern Hall of Famers Phylette Blake, Sharon Mitchell-Coleman and Regina Days-Bryan will attend the game and be introduced at halftime.
■ The Eagles play seven of their final 10 regular-season games in Hanner Fieldhouse, where they own a 2-3 record this season.
■ Georgia Southern has won two of its last three games and is coming off a 70-59 setback at Elon Monday.
■ MiMi DuBose is leading the team in scoring at 15.3 points a game. The junior ranks eighth on the GSU career list in 3-pointers (123) and has scored 20 or more points in seven games.
■ DuBose has led the Eagles in scoring in 15 contests this season and passed the 500-point mark for her career with 21 in a win over Kent State Nov. 24.
■ Meredyth Frye has led the Eagles in scoring and rebounding in each of the last two seasons. The senior is 90 points away from the 1,000 mark for her career.
■ Anna Claire Knight is averaging 9.5 points and a team-high 6.1 rebounds a game. The sophomore has led the team in scoring three times.
■ Davidson has won eight of its last nine and is in second place in the SoCon standings.
■ The Wildcats are on a four-game win streak and coming off a 65-56 victory at Western Carolina Monday.
■ Davidson is 5-6 on the road and 4-0 in road SoCon contests.
■ League Player of the Year candidate Sophia Aleksandravicius averages 14.9 points, 10.1 rebounds and 2.9 blocked shots a game. Laura Murray is averaging 12.2 points and 3.2 assists a contest.

Series History
■ Davidson leads the all-time series 23-19 and has won the last four. The Wildcats swept the season series against Georgia Southern last year and won this season's first meeting 61-49 back on Dec. 1.
■ The Eagles are 8-11 against Davidson in Hanner Fieldhouse and 0-1 under first-year head coach Chris Vozab.
■ The series dates back to 1994, and the Eagles won the first five meetings and nine of the first 11. Davidson has won 16 of the last 18.
■ MiMi DuBose scored 21 points, while Maggie Davis and Sierra Kirkland each netted six in the first meeting this season at Belk Arena.
■ Sophia Aleksandravicius posted 24 points, 10 rebounds and eight blocked shots.
■ DuBose scored 14 points, and Meredyth Frye added 11 in the last meeting in Hanner Fieldhouse, a 69-62 Eagle setback last February.
■ Laura Murray had 17 points, and Aleksandravicius tallied 14 points and eight rebounds for Davidson.

■ Four Eagles who have started multiple games this season have missed at least one game because of an injury. Three of those players saw games played streaks of 40 or more come to an end (Danielle Spencer, Meredyth Frye, Anna Claire Knight).

■ Frye posted her third career double-double with 18 points and 11 rebounds at College of Charleston Jan. 5.
■ DuBose played all 40 minutes at George Mason (12/29) to become the first Eagle to play 40-plus minutes since Jamie Navarro played 41 against Chattanooga Dec. 18, 2010.
■ Anna Claire Knight hit the game-winning shot as the buzzer sounded in the Eagles' 61-58 home win over Wofford Jan. 20. It's the second game-winning buzzer-beater of the sophomore's career (at Mercer, 11/17/11).
■ Knight has two double-doubles this season - 20 pts, 11 reb at Georgia State (11/23) and 17 pts, 10 reb at Elon (1/28).
■ The Eagles opened SoCon play at Davidson Dec. 1. It's the fourth straight season GSU has opened league play on the road. The Eagles' first three league games were on the road.
■ The Eagles' 13 steals at Georgia State were the most since posting 17 against Wofford Jan. 24, 2011.
■ GSU's 71 points against Kent State were the most the Eagles have scored against a Division I opponent since a 72-49 win over Jacksonville State Nov. 26, 2011.
■ The Eagles' 24-point margin of victory over the Golden Flashes was their most over a Division I opponent since topping Mercer 76-45 Dec. 11, 2009.
■ The Eagles' 63-56 victory at UNCG Jan. 26, snapped a 10-game SoCon road losing skid. It was GSU's first road SoCon win since a 35-34 victory at College of Charleston Jan. 18, 2012.
■ Since the 2010-11 season, Georgia Southern has five losses by one point and 11 losses by five points or less. The Eagles have suffered three losses by four points or less this season.
■ GSU finished the 2012-13 campaign with a 1-8 record in non-conference games.
