Layup Line
■ Georgia Southern plays its first home game in a month when the Eagles host SoCon opponent Western Carolina Monday at 4 p.m.
■ The remaining 17 games on the Eagles' slate are all SoCon games, and 10 will be in Hanner Fieldhouse.
■ GSU finished a six-game road trip with a 58-56 setback at College of Charleston Saturday. It also capped a stretch in which the Eagles played 10 of 11 away from home.
■ The Eagles have lost their last nine. Two of the last three losses have been by a basket or less.
■ Georgia Southern is 0-2 at home this season.
■ MiMi DuBose is leading the team in scoring at 14.7 points a game. The junior ranks ninth on school career list in 3-pointers (110) and is coming off posting career highs of 27 points and eight rebounds at CofC Saturday.
■ DuBose has led the Eagles in scoring in nine contests this season and passed the 500-point mark for her career with 21 in a win over Kent State Nov. 24.
■ Meredyth Frye has led the Eagles in scoring and rebounding in each of the last two seasons. The senior is 152 points away from the 1,000 mark for her career.
■ Frye looks to play in her 100th career game today.
■ Frye is coming off season highs of 18 points and 11 rebounds at College of Charleston Saturday.
■ Western Carolina snapped a five-game losing skid with a 54-40 victory at Wofford Saturday.
■ Diamond Hunnicutt leads the Catamounts in scoring at 8.3 points a game. Ali Lane averages 7.6 points an outing.
■ The Eagles were picked ninth in the Southern Conference Preseason Coaches and Media Polls. Western Carolina was picked seventh in both polls.

Series History
■ The Eagles lead the all-time series 32-16, but Western Carolina has won four of the last five games, including a 61-56 overtime decision in the last meeting, which took place in the SoCon Tournament last March.
■ Five of the last six meetings have been decided by six points or less and two have gone into overtime.
■ The series began with a 73-65 Eagle win at Western Carolina Jan. 16, 1982. GSU won the first eight meetings of the series.
■ The teams split two meetings in the 2011-12 regular season with each winning on their home floor.
■ Western Carolina opened the overtime session with a 5-0 run en route to a 61-56 win over GSU in the last meeting.
■ A MiMi DuBose layup with 12 seconds left in regulation tied the score at 45 and sent the game into the extra period.
■ DuBose led the Eagles with 12 points. Janay Wilson and Samantha Williams also added eight points each.
■ Turnovers proved too costly for the Eagles as they gave the ball up 24 times.
■ Georgia Southern earned a 41-40 victory over Western Carolina in the last meeting in Hanner Fieldhouse.
■ Anna Claire Knight tallied nine points and six rebounds. The Eagles shot 42.9 percent from the floor but were held to 35 attempts. Jordi Cook added eight points to go along with MiMi DuBose's seven.
■ Western Carolina made up for a 28.6 shooting percentage by holding GSU to 27 rebounds, their second lowest total of the season, and forcing 20 turnovers. Alex Abraham and Janae McKinney both scored seven points to lead the Catamount offense.

■ The Eagles' six game road trip this season is their longest since a seven-game stretch in the 2010-11 campaign.
■ The Eagles have tallied double-digit steals in four games this season.
■ GSU has held five opponents under 35 percent field goal shooting this season.

■ GSU's 71 points against Kent State were the most the Eagles have scored against a Division I opponent since a 72-49 win over Jacksonville State Nov. 26, 2011.
■ The Eagles' 24-point margin of victory over the Golden Flashes was their most over a Division I opponent since topping Mercer 76-45 Dec. 11, 2009.
■ Since the 2010-11 season, Georgia Southern has five losses by one point and 11 losses by five points or less. The Eagles have suffered three losses by four points or less this season.
■ GSU finished the 2012-13 campaign with a 1-8 record in non-conference games. Four of those opponents have winning records, and those squads have combined for a 33-19 mark.
